TB2 League Nottingham

Depot Nottingham

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Nottingham

Birmingham VS Nottingham! Depot Climbing is bringing you a month-long Board Climbing League! It will feature 30 unique boulders! There will be 3 open categories that you enter as an individual (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) and prizes for the highest performing Male and Female athletes in each category. Your entry at either Depot Birmingham or Depot Nottingham will also combine to your overall Centre score, to decide which Centre will take the crown! How it all works: Select your category based on your personal ability: Novice (V3-V4) Intermediate (V5 - V7) Advanced (V7 - V10) Please be honest in selecting your category; we may adjust your category if your selection does not reflect your ability. Finding the Boulders: Find the boulder for your category by scanning the QR code or finding it within the map on Griptonite. When you select the boulder, this will be named and correspond to a boulder that has been set on the ‘Tension Board 2’ app. Search for the name on the Tension Board 2 app and connect to the Tension Board itself via Bluetooth. You can also find a link to the circuit containing all 30 climbs from the URL below Scoring: - You are scored on each boulder based on attempts (i.e. more points for fewer attempts). - You need to log your sends on the Griptonite app. - You are scored on your own category and those ‘below’ it as well. For example, the ‘Intermediate’ category is scored on both the ‘Novice’ and ‘Intermediate’ categories. For those entering the advanced category, this means that all 30 climbs contribute to your score! - This is an honesty system, please remember this competition is for the fun of everyone involved! - We may ask for proof of sends through video evidence of the top 3 hardest climbs within your category. These can be uploaded as “beta” on the Griptonite app, or tag us on Instagram with a video of the climb. All uploads must be completed within the timeframe of the competition. - Your score and entry will contribute to your overall Centre score with where you entered from (Birmingham or Nottingham). Other Rules: - All climbs must be completed at 40 degrees. - A successful send must follow the hands/feet rules for the TB2 lighting system and specific boulders rules (matching or no-matching). - All climbs follow traditional IFSC competition rules for an attempt. You must begin an attempt from the Start Holds and leaving the ground counts as an attempt. - All climbs must be completed within the respective Depot you are entering the competition from (Birmingham or Nottingham). Climbs sent on TB2 boards outside of these facilities do not count.
